The City Assessor prepares all regular and special assessment rolls in the manner prescribed by this charter, by ordinance and by the general laws of the state.
Assessment Notices are mailed in February with the Board meeting in March, July, and December.

Correspondence and messages will be answered within (7) seven business days. In-person meetings are scheduled as needed by contacting the Assessing Office.
Any inspection or copies of routine records are handled as needed by contacting the Assessing Office. Large reproduction of files may require a Freedom of Information Act request.
Throughout the year a taxpayer with any disputes regarding record card errors and value discrepancies should contact the Assessing Office.
Summer Reinspection – Each summer, the Assessing Department reviews 20% of the parcels in the City to keep property records accurate, as required by the State. This process includes both online research—such as checking GIS aerial images, real estate listings, and other online sources—and in-person visits by City of Ferrysburg staff to take a photo of the front of each home.
