The City Clerk is the chief accountant of the City and shall maintain a system of accounts which shall conform to such uniform system as may be required by state law.
Elections
The State of Michigan is a “No Reason” Absentee Ballot state. If you would like to be on the permanent Absentee Ballot list, you can do so by checking the box on your Absentee Voter Registration Application.
Selecting this box means you will receive a ballot for each election . Please note that election mail is unable to be forwarded so if you travel during an election period, please be sure to update your mailing address with the clerk.

Establishment of Early Voting Site
Notice is hereby given of resolution of the combined local jurisdictions of the City of Grand Haven, Grand Haven Charter Township, Spring Lake Township, City of Ferrysburg, and Robinson Township, under authority granted in Public Act 81 of 2023, that the location for the early voting site for all federal and statewide election dates will be at the Spring Lake Community Center.
All qualified electors have the right to mark a ballot and deposit the ballot in a tabulator beginning the second Saturday before an election and ending the Sunday before an election.

- Saturday, July 25: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Sunday, July 26: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Monday, July 27: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Tuesday, July 28: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Wednesday, July 29: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Thursday, July 30: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Friday, July 31: 8:00am – 4:00pm
